Autograph Manuscript in Latin, being detailed instructions on making the philosopher’s stone, titled on the upper wrapper “Opus Galli Anonymi”
Gonna raid the change jar…

This outstanding manuscript declares that it reveals “The Secret of Secrets,” and the directions are remarkable for the clarity of instruction. Almost entirely free of the usual concealments and code words (Decknamen) characteristic of alchemy texts, the regimen detailed for the production of the Philosopher’s Stone could in theory be unambiguously recreated within a modern laboratory.

"...money is a commodity to be bought or not to be bought, a luxury in which we may either indulge or stint ourselves, like any other. And there are many luxuries that we may legitimately prefer to it, such as a grateful conscience, a country life, or the woman of our inclination." ~Robert Louis Stevenson

Do tell us the recipe. I will always find time for a new hobby.

Would a translation be available? I am curious about the philosopher’s stone.

Nice, but immortality is not the mere result of a fabricated process within causality. 🙂

Indeed, the obvious value of the document lies with its provenance not its content. And I am, among other things, an unrepentant bibliophile. If a simple recipe, sans Decknamen and all, were available to vain charcoal puffers I’m sure they wouldn’t tire of spreading the good news with an endless stream of triumphant blog comments.
