The Heatons he mentions early on in the song are buried in Niles, OH; their grave stones are all lined up in a row on the south-eastern corner in the local cemetery.  You can make out the inscriptions pretty well still.  We used to walk all over that cemetery back in the day, wondering what life must have been like for a family like the Heatons, with so, so many of their children dying in infancy.
