This day and its rituals are probably most known to us anymore in the form of Easter customs, and indeed, Easter celebrates the same principles that people all over the world throughout history have celebrated when the days finally were longer than the nights again.
And while Easter proper is still almost two weeks off this year, let me invite you to not let this astronomical day pass without thankfulness. We made it through the dark half of the year. From here on, it should be smooth sailing until mid-September!
