So many of our family lines go back to the early days of European settlement in the New World.
This week 146 years ago, our 4th and 5th grandfather on the Denney side passed away.
Our 8th and 9th great-grandfather Studebaker died this week 292 years ago, only three days before his 66th birthday.
Our 9th (and 10th) great-grandparents appear to have both died on April Fool’s Day, and it’s not a joke!
Our 11th (and 12th) great-grandfather Anthony Needham I passed on this week 373 years ago.
Ironically, the Long line is one of the shorter ones in our tree.
Our 2nd and 3rd great-grandfather George Mulford, who passed away today 95 years ago, lived close to the Ohio River, on the WV side.
Nobody would have called our 2nd and 3rd great-grandfather ‘Franziskus Xaverius’. In his hometown Haaren, he would have been known as ‘Reelen’s Xaver’.
